Two alpha channels in a .vtf?

Is it possible to have 2 alpha channels in a .vtf? I'm trying to achieve a scrolling light texture that is transparent AND have a second alpha that makes it look fading out as it scrolls.

I've made a translucent scrolling texture but I'm not sure how to fade it as I've already used the alpha channel...

Any ideas?

    There might be no sloution for two Alphas in a single .vtf but to achieve what you need you can use Proxies.

    You mean I could provide the extra transparancy if I add it with another texture?

    Not sure how to solve that in the .vmt though.

    I can't find the Proxy that would be needed for this kind of effect.

    Did you have a specific Proxy in mind?

    No, translucency (and by extensions transparency) are all in the basetexture alpha, but that other thing, fade (whatever that is) probably can.
