- A Work In Progress for Sonic World
EDIT: I have to currently put this on hold as i am facing issues with lag, i hope you understand :(
EDIT 2: I'am currently in the process of remaking alot of things due to the lag issue I had previously stated but its still in development, as a result progress has went backwards a bit :(, so heres a new picture for now..
EDIT 3: Developement is progressing again but since I need to save on my resources with polygon count, that means the environment maybe less detailed than before. Have another picture.
EDIT 4: Sorry if anyone is waiting for a long time. I had other stuff to do and its been hard finding motivation since this is a pretty big project for me but the fact that this is my most popular post does give me a bit of motivation sooo thanks for that :) I've decided to let you guys have a short play test to see what you think while I work on this. (R9 only tho since it looks weird in r8, I might adjust it for r8 unless DX comes out by the time I complete it)
Just played this. Im really impressed with the WIP so far but have feedback to help improve it: - the springs that bounce you between houses should not have destinations. the abrupt stop is distracting and may freeze on lower framerates. use powers instead - the grass edges should have the alpha + masked flag (if using fragmotion) to remove the black parts - the road texture should be changed. the black is too blurry and yellow too jarring.
The concepts really good and i was very surprised with the stage. I really hope this gets completed someday.
Ooh, a whole movie HUB, that's pretty cool. The model for Tom's house is a bit...meh. But the rest is looking pretty cool. Are you going to be adding stuff like the bar from the movie? Also, the use of the warp rings was really clever.
