Hi Guys, today I wanna show you how to achieve the Sunlight/Fire/Light Glow Effects. If you've played Half-Life 2, you'll be Fimilar with the Photo Below:
Now We are going to achieve the Effect like that. Let's Begin!
1. Create an entity in your map (Where you want the glow to be) and Tie it to an "env_lightglow".
2. Now open the Properties of env_lightglow. We are gonna set the Properties. you are free to Play with them XD
Color (R G B): Sets the Color of the Glow. (You can enter 202 223 240 for Sunlight and 244 150 55 for Fire) Vertical Size: Sets the vertical size of the Glow. (This tutorial 120) Horizontal Size: Sets the Horizontal size of the Glow. (This tutorial 140) Minimum Distance: Sets the Min. Distance for the Glow to Appear (For this tutorial 64) Maximum Distance: Sets the Distance that Glow is fully Visible (For this tutorial 200) Outer Maximum Distance: It defines how long the Glow should be Visible, If player excceeds this value, the Glow will Fade out. (For this Tutorial 1500)
(If you want the glow to be visible only from front, Go to Flags Tab and Check "Visible Only from Front".)
3. Click Apply and Compile.
