Making Gameover Messages

Hi and Welcome to my Tutorial for Half-Life 2, about Making Areas that if the Player (Gordon) Enters it, the Game will Fail and the Game Loads the Last Auto-Saved File. Like the ones in Coast (Highway 17) Chapter that Fails the Game if the Buggy/Player Falls in Water.

Games that Supports Game Fail Texts:

* Half-Life 2 Series (Like hl2, hl2ep1 and hl2ep2.)
* Garry's Mod

NOTES:
Won't Work on CS:S.
Not Tested on any other Games than hl2 and gmod!
Because of Gamebanana Problems, "On Start" Without the Spaces are not allowed to be Written, So Make Sure to Write On Start Touch without any Spaces!

Either Just Follow these Easy Steps or Download the Example .VMF File.

SCREENSHOT A:

1. Make a "env_message" Entity Somewhere in your Map.
2. Fill these Values:

Name: "gamefail" (Without Quotes, For This Tutorial.)

Message Text: Only Enter "GAMEOVER_OBJECT" Without Quotes and no anything Else or it won't Works!

Leave the Other Stuff Unchanged. (editing them Only Wastes your Time.)

3. Make a Entity and Tie it to "player_loadsaved" and Fill its Properties this Way:

Name: Something Like "reload" without the Quotes.
Other Properties are Optional.

4. Now Create an Area (Brush) you Want the Player to Touch and then the Game Fails, With the "tools/toolstrigger" Texture and Tie the Brush to trigger_multiple.

5. Enter the Brush you Created Now, Hit the Outputs Tab and Click Add.

6. Now Fill these Values:

My Output Named: On Start Touch (Without Spaces)
Targets Entities Named: "gamefail" (without quotes, Type the Name of that env_message's Name you Created in Step 2.)

Via This Input: ShowMessage

Then Make Sure Fire once Only is Checked.

7. Hit the Add Button again and Fill its Properties:

My Output Named: On Start Touch (Again, Without the Spaces.)
Target Entities Named: "Reload" (Without the Quotes, The Name you Choosed for player_loadsaved Entity.)

Via This Input: Reload

Make Sure the Fire once only is Checked.
Also Give it a Delay after a Few Seconds. 2 is a Good Value.

8. Done! You May now test it in-game.

Congratulations, You Have Just Learned How to Make Game Fail Scenes!
