Adding Custom SFX

A Forum Thread for Sonic Mania

I added a custom ring sfx to the game but when i tryed it in game it got all fast and high-Pitched So can someone tell me how to edit the sfx with them going all high pitched and fast?

    Yeah, apparently when you import custom sounds into the game, their speed tends to change for some ungodly reason. The way I did it was manually adjusting the playback speed of the file in Audacity, until it sounded right in-game again. For me, the file was slowed down, so I had to make it exactly 2 times faster. So, perhaps, you should try slowing it down by exactly 2 times?

    Every sound effect needs to be mono, in 44k hz, and exported as a 16 bit wav.
