How to update smash without connecting to internet

Fairly new to switch modding. I’ve never had to update a game cause this is only my first month of having a modded switch. What do I need to do to update my game, the safest way?

The safest way is to either connect to the internet and update it (see 2nd paragraph) or use another Switch and match the update with whatever is on that Switch. The option is under "Software Update" and is called "Match Version With Local Users".Really it depends on what you've done with your Switch and what you use while modded. If you use Atmosphere for CFW, you're off to a good start. If you have only modded Ultimate, then you are safe to update online as it isn't risky to go online with just that. That doesn't necessarily mean anything else risks a ban. Take a look at this. If you have EmuNAND, always stay offline on it. Your SysNAND is fine to go online, however.

If you have any experience with install NSP files, you could try to find the 7.0.0 update file online and installing that separately. It should update your original game perfectly fine.i personally use the “match software” option but it doesn’t work well when you only have one switch to work with.
