Where is Sonic's Peelout animation kept?

Is peelout stored in the balls?

I've only recently been getting into modding for Sonic Mania Plus so I'm not too knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of modding. Anyways, I have the Mod Manager and found out that it had a Max Control cheat. The thing is, when I do the peelout, Sonic uses his classic peelout animation. Now, I'm not stupid. I've known that peelout animation has always been there, but I've never liked how it looks in Mania. I decided I wanted to replace his peelout animation with his standard dash animation.

Now, I feel I should stress that when I talk about Sonic's peelout animation, I'm specifically referring to the figure 8 he does when he either runs fast enough or when you press Up and Jump. When I talk about his dash animation, I'm talking about when his legs turn into a spiral and his feet become a blur (his dash animation is the default animation for running really really fast)

With that out of the way, my question is about where his peelout animation is stored and how I can replace it with his dash animation. I've looked around Sonic's .BIN file but there is no peelout animation there. I tried copying his dash sprites and plopping those over his peelout sprites in GIMP but the problem is that his dashing and peelout sprites have different heights. his dash sprites are a pixel taller than his peelout sprites. So, when I put his dash sprites into Sonic2.gif, the bottom of his feet get cut off in-game.

So, I end this overly long background explanation with several questions; where is Sonic's peelout animation stored if not in Sonic.bin? Wherever the animation is stored, is there a way for me to replace it with his dash animation? If so, how do I do it?

Thank you.
