Don't you just love crashing?

I got side tracked from my sa2 mod a little while ago and had the sudden drive to make a sonic mania mod, a sound effects one and a music one, some sound effects crash the game while others don't, is this due to something like bitrate or compression or do they just need to be the exact size?
