Half-Life Alyx Combine Models

Hello Everyone. 
I recently got my hands on Half-Life Alyx. I enjoyed every single piece of gameplay that the game can provide.

Having in mind we have waited for such a long time for another HL title, I find it a bit unfair that it required such a specific hardware.

After I finished the game, I took a look into the models and I must say that Valve overdid themselves. :) 

I see no point of having a 100k+ polygons for a model that has 4096x4096 textures. The game could have run on standard hardware if the polycount was "normal".

So I played around with the models and you can see the results here. I have ported 3 of the combine models as HL1 player models.

Well, actually I did more than porting the models... 
I UV Chopped the model's textures, in order to retain their original quality in the HL1 engine.
I reduced the polycount of the models - from around 100k to 10k polygons. You can see the results in the screenshots. 

I plan to port more of the models, for now only as player models.

Disclaimer: I take no credits for the 3d models. They are property of Valve. I only ported them, UV Chopped the textures and reduced the polycount within a reasonable boundaries.

According to the Valve policy, models from their games can be ported between their own titles, as long as it's not for commercial use and as long as we're not ruining the image of any Valve IP.
