    The model inself is accurate and all, but like thanez said, a few shading issues on few parts screw up the model.

    True, but being inefficient with polygons makes no sense. You may as well just save the polygons and add geo to another spot. You could just remove them all together. It doesn't make sense to put 500 polygons on a small sphere on the bolt pull. So efficiency shouldn't be ignored just because it's "a mod."

    As a general game-design rule I would agree with you, but this is custom mod-work where he can set his own polycount limit, and doesn't have to afraid of anything.
    The part being in all quads will make it easier at bake time. That, and polycounts don't even matter any more unless you're designing a game to specifically run on mid-low-end PCs.

    A pro-tip for you, tigg, is to bake out an object space normal map at 2x the target size when you're done with your highpoly and have your lowpoly UV'd. If you then want to change your LP or make LODs like a _w, you can bake LOD textures from the LP view model instead of the HP, so the bake time is 5 seconds instead of 5 minutes.
    O and you have some X errors in your bake.  There's one on the grip where it slopes toward the trigger area, and two on the not-pump(?) u gots 2 fix dat triangulation

    No, not really, considering the detail that gets baked into that part later on. Would cause distortions and waves all over it.

    Yeah, but it's so far away from the player's view and so small that you could cover it up. Imo
