Gotta be honest here and confess I never built a Source Engine shader, got out of this stuff before Source came out and only recently came back and only did UDK and CE3 material work :D

Thanks, glad you like it so far. Regarding that CryEngine3 scene: I used the basics from this tutorial on YouTube (there's a download link in the description I believe) but made some changes regarding the particles and changed the whole lighting setup to having more lights and less colour variation (looks a bit weird when you have a blueish light on the front of some model and orange light on the back). I uploaded my updated CE scene for you here if you want to check it out (you need to have installed the stuff from the YouTube tutorial though).
I'll write you a PM about the screenshot taking, it's using some console commands and would take a lot of space.
