NavOptions - A Wiki

Everything you wanted to know about NavOptions

1. Purpose

Do you want to customize how GameBanana user interface looks and behaves?

Go no further than NavOptions!

2. What I can do with NavOptions

You can see and/or change your NavOptions.

3. What I can not do with NavOptions

Currently, you can not import ("Open") and/or export ("Save") your NavOptions. Also, you can not see and/or change NavOptions of other users.

4. How do I get to the NavOptions page?

Hover/Click the button with your avatar in the Secondary Nav and click on the link titled 'Settings'.

Now, click on the first link in the 'Customization' section.

5. GameBanana terms used

Whoo! Going really fast, aren't we? Let's back up a little bit and sort out some GameBanana terms.

  • Top Nav is the header of the website. You will find GameBanana logo there as well as shortcuts to your subscribed games, the search bar and more.

  • Page Nav is the sub-header with anything we were not able to fit in the header.

  • Uberstyles is one of the Unlocks. It lets you completely customize the colors, fonts and layout of your profile using CSS.

  • Secondary Nav is your personal menu (Nav Modules are the modules in it).

Breadcrumb provides links back to each previous page you navigated through, and shows your current location in the website.

6. NavOptions overview

6.1. Secondary Nav Mode

Change how Secondary Nav (your personal menu) is rendered:

  • Float (Default)

Secondary Nav is rendered as a row with a fixed position (it is positioned relative to the website, which means it always stays in the same place even if the page is scrolled). Nav Modules are hidden until you click or hover them.

  • Dock

Render Secondary Nav as a column with a fixed position. Nav Modules are visible all the time (but one at a time).

  • Strip

Same as Dock but Nav Modules are hidden until you click or hover them.

  • Slide

Same as Strip but the column itself is hidden until you hover it.

6.9. UI Themes

UI Themes are CSS files created by GameBanana users. UI Themes let users change how website elements are styled (borders, colors and more).

UI Themes section is where you control installed UI Themes. You can uninstall a theme or re-arrange UI Themes by drag-and-dropping them within the list (contact the theme creator to know if you need to do it).

6.10. Reset Settings

This will restore all NavOptions to site defaults and remove all UI Themes.

Warning! If you click the Reset button by accident, do not panic because no changes are saved until you click the Save button.

6.11. Save button

No changes to your NavOptions are saved until you click the Save button.

    Thanks for the tutorial.

I think this part is kind of self-explanatory though.
