Ads keep us online. Without them, we wouldn't exist. We don't have
paywalls or sell mods - we never will. But every month we have large bills
and running ads is our only way to cover them. Please consider unblocking us. Thank you from GameBanana <3
So some of us might have the problem not being able to run TF2 on full settings, just as me.
Me myself has set the texture quality to low for best performance.
In this tutorial I will NOT explain how to make a spray, I assume that your spray is already a working .vtf and .vmt combination in your materials/VGUI/logos/ folder.
Now to add the sexyness to the spray, how to get a spray to show in full quality in TF2 with the texture settings set to low.
It's fairly simple, first get VTFEdit, preferably the latest one.
Open the .vtf of the spray you'd like to have sexied up.
Get over to the image tab and then to the flags compartment.
To achieve our goal, we need to tick 1 (JUST ONE OMG!) flag extra, the "No Level of Detail" flag.
Tick it and save.
Enjoy your crisp spray!
I assume this also applies to any other type of material as menu backgrounds, skins, the little photo's on map infos, etc.
Pros: Very simple and well done tutorial, well put together, and easy to understand.
Cons: None, good pictures add extra clarity to the writing
Notes: Great tutorial, simple and easy to understand. If only all tutorials were this good :D

No Level Of Detail?
What about No Mipmap. That's way better lol.
No Mipmap won't give this effect on low settings, also if you combine this with no Mipmap it will look weird when viewed from a distance, Mipmaps give a slight DOF effect, especially when viewed from an angle.
