1. make it a habit to check your back every 5 to 10 seconds or so. When you enter a new area. make sure to check your back. You don't have to count just make it a habit. Practice swinging your mouse back and forth without getting disoriented. 2. When you pick up a gun or ammo do it fast! I can't tell you how many people i seen with rifles get killed because they take a hell of a long time to pick up ammo. Aim your crosshair at the ammo/gun. Get on top of it. Then press e. It should only take you one press of E and a split second. If you press E more than once your doing it wrong 3. Turn off your flashlight when you dont need it. The flashlight send a long beacon and if a zombies are hiding in a room they will know for miles away when your going to enter that room. 4. If your serious about surviving, alway point your gun at the most predictable location where a zombie is going to pop out of. When camping always point your gun at an entrance 5. Use panic. change the hotkey from P to something more closer like ALT or the third mouse button.ADVANCED:
1. when zombies are hitting you from the front in your face, DON'T RUN BACKWARDS. Zombies are faster so they will instantly chase you down. Instead sidestep or circle strafe. and When you have the zombies back, headshot it. Same goes with melee, don' t run backwards when your getting hit, juke out the zombie and hit em from the back. 2. When trying to headshot zombies with magnum you will face 3 kinds of zombies. A. the strafer B. the jumper C. the ducker You have the element of surprise with the magnum. take your best aim and get a headshot as fast as you can. If you miss your first shot the zombies will know you have a magum so they will start to do one of the above three. IF YOU HAVE DISTANCE don't shoot right away. back pedal and see what that zombie does first. A. the strafer is the easiest to kill. he will go side to side trying to avoid your shots. Just put your crosshair at head level and when it steps into it fire. B. The jumper is hard to kill. He will jump up and down side to side and back. You have one advantage however. The zombie can not change its trajectory in midair, so you know when and where he will land. Put your cross hair at headlevel on the zomibe . THEN WAIT TILL HE jumps. start to move it left or right in the predicted jumping pattern. When he lands shoot. C. the croucher is the same as the jumper except he crouches. Your advantage here is that when the zombie crouches he loses speed. So back pedal all you want. keep the cross hair at headlevel. WAIT till he crouches. When he comes back up shoot. OR you can keep the cross hair at waist level and shoot when he crouches. either way is fine. 3. Spawn kill as much as you can in the early part of the round. You will only have a couple of zombies to handle and you will keep the carrier occupied to let your teammate snag weapons and barricade. Some good places to spawn camp: -the basement stairs in asylum -the long corridor leading outside in the basement of cinema -the cafe baltic in subway. - the fence in the first floor of police station 4. Always use panic when you melee. Two rifles are better than one on two newbies. always follow newbies if they have a good weapon. They will eventually die and you can snag it. 5. Barricade: 2 shelves make the best barricades. However they are very unstable and hard to get up once they fall down. If you find yourself with a shelve that is flat on its back. Than you can follow these steps to stand it back up. 1. get the fallen shelve out into an open space. it doesn't have to be two big of a space. 2. get on top of the middle of the long end of the shelf 3. crouch and hold crouch 4. look down 5. now crawl away from the shelf. It should start to stand back up. 6. crawl slowly until it is up. 7. you will be stuck in the middle opening of the shelf. holster weapon and push out of it being careful not to knock down the shelf again. 8. now that the shelf is up you can use it for your barricade.
