Ok, this will be a quick tutorial but i think menu backgrounds would be better if more people knew this...go get the res files here: here
1. Ok, let's start by locating the file we need it's called "ClientScheme.res" and it's located in cstrike/resource.
2. Open this file with notepad.
3. really close to the top, find these lines:
// Top-left corner of the "Counter-Strike" on the main screen
"Main.Title1.Color" "0 0 0 255"
// Top-left corner of the "SOURCE" on the main screen
"Main.Title2.Color" "0 0 0 255"
**NOTE** numbers could be different.
4. to make the css invisible, change these lines from this:
(remember these numbers might be different to start with)
thats all there is to it, i realize this is short, but i see a LOT of good menu backgrounds get messed up because of the css in the middle, have fun.
P.S. of course you can change the color of the css to something different if you want:
Pros: Good instructions
Cons: Doesn't tell how to change the file from the other user that is in the link. It should tell how to switch the buttons back to normal. The buttons are customized for the other GUI.
Improvements: Add a part in to change the buttons back
How do I change the words and spot back to the original one?
