Okay, so you wanna add a camo to a skin while keeping the details? What you need: Adobe photoshop Steps: 1) Search for a camo texture on google, copy the image, open with photoshop. 2) While having the camo open in photoshop, go to "edit > define pattern" and name the camo whatever you like. 3) Open the skin, and select the area you want to add the camo to. 4) Then, desaturate the selected part by clicking "edit > adjustments > desature. then Right click while area is still selected and choose "layer via copy". 5) From there, right click and click on "blending options". 6) You will see a menu, go to "Pattern Overlay" and choose the pattern you added earlier. set the bar to Overlay and scale the camo till it's just right. 7) Save the document and enjoy your camo skin. :)

Can someone help? on step 4, it says to click Edit>adjustments>desature, but i could not find that anywhere! Then, i saw there was Image>adjustments, but adjustments was greyed out. The pic shows nothing about Edit>adjustments, either. :(

Posted by CnR What does desaturating it do Exactly?
It makes the texture black and white.
Does it actually help anything or just black and white?
My guess is that the author wants the skin to be colorless, so the colors(or lack of) don't interfere with the camouflage pattern.
AH!, but does it help show the camo better ingame.Probably, right?
