Non-colorable versionfirst off, create a 164x200 resolution image, if this is your first time creating this type of images, I recommend you use a black background a black background
you can create the image in your favorite image editing program, remember to save the image in 8-bit bmp format
now use TilesetPal, look at the following image, before continuing you should know the following.
the quantity of colors to use is limited, so don't worry if the final image is a little bit quality, just avoid losing too much quality, it's trial and error.
notice the number of empty spaces, if I had used them the portrait would have been colored randomly, once you are happy with the final result, choose the entire color palette and choose the "don't change" option.
Now test in-game
Colorable Versionit is basically the same steps as the non-color version, but, this time it is the spaces that we did not use in the previous case.
portraits work very similar to DM_base, but have minor differences.
