Porting brawl acmd 9d
  • Addition Porting brawl acmd to sm4sh
So alot of people are always asking how do you make moveset mods? Well this is basically that but simplified as im only going to cover ACMD and Animations (swaps)

1.Tools

Sm4sh Command (you can use fitx but i prefer sm4sh command)
Sm4sh Hitbox Generator (just makes life easier when making hitboxes from scratch ig)
 Smash forge (backup by M-1)
Smash 3ds dump (please dont ask me how to dump it, just read the tutorial)
Smash Attacks (tool to view brawl acmd, but were going to be using it to port it to smash 4)
PSA Compressor (works the same way as smash attacks but its used for custom .pac)

2.ACMD

alright lets start off with acmd, go ahead and open sm4sh command

then look for the character you want to edit in you smash 3ds dump 
you can find them in data/animcmd/fighter/Your character

OK now that you have opened your character you want to https://imgur.com/a/QkSY3nY
you want to find your characters motion files, they are in data/motion/fighter/your character

Nice, now you can start editing! For this tutorial ill make something simple, ill make Puffs last hit of dair spike

OK, so this is what im going to be editing https://imgur.com/a/RZhYQRa (looks pretty simple right?)
Alright ill explain this a bit, Angles,KBG,FKB and BKB are all in hex so you can use this converter to know what you need, in my case i just need to edit the angle to make it spike, So all im going to do is change the angle from 2D to 10E

Now that you have done your edits you are going to save the mod, just go File/SAVE AS (make sure to save as) and then save it where you want it to go, in my case its saltysd/smash/animcmd/fighter/purin
YAY you made and moveset edit! Here is what i made

3.One slot ACMD

Ok this is a little more advanced than normal acmd (not really) Its actually more simple than you think
alright so here it is:

If_Compare3(Variable=0x1000003C, Method=0x3, Value=0x8)

*put new acmd here 

FALSE(Unknown=0x24){ 
*put normal acmd here

The True statement is for the 8+ moveset and the false statement is for the normal moveset, here is an example, its sonics down tilt https://imgur.com/a/J4ODNHF

4.Porting Brawl ACMD to Smash 4

Tiny bit more advanced than just editing acmd but still easy
Right, lets get started, youre gonna want to get a FitYourCharacter.pac for this tutorial ill be using a waluigi.pac

Now you want to open smash attacks/psa compressor (im using psa compressor), then go File/Open and look for your .pac 
Then you want to go into Events and then sub actions https://imgur.com/a/cwxkC7e  now just look for the move you want to port to smash 4, i found mine, this is what it looks like https://imgur.com/a/fEScxB5 Pretty similar to smash 4 right? Now just open the sm4sh hitbox generator and translate the brawl acmd to smash 4.

This is what the sm4sh hitbox generator looks  like https://imgur.com/a/bfslFoy Youre just gonna translate the brawl stuff to smash 4. So im gonna choose the hitbox type as Hitbox and ill start translating, So after you have translated the hitbox press generate, it will give you a hitbox wich you can paste in to sm4sh command 

5. Animation swaps

Ok this is like the easiest thing to do in smash 3ds modding, anyone can
Go ahead and open smash forge and drag in your characters mbn, your characters mbn in in Data/model/fighter/Your Character/body/c00 or h00 for this tutorial ill give lucina bayonettas up tilt 

So once you have dragged your model into smash forge it should look something like this https://imgur.com/a/suB0IJR Now you want to drag your characters motion files AND the character you want the moves from, so in my case im going to get lucinas and bayonettas motion files. Wich you can find in Data/motion/fighter/Your character/body

So on the bottom right of your screen go to the animation tab and you will see some folders https://imgur.com/a/5fLKkiU ,in my case one is lucina and the other is bayo, im gonna go ahead and open bayos folder and look for the animation i want

Once you have found the animation you want go ahead and export it https://imgur.com/a/xzMocv6 when exporting make sure to save as .anim and save it somewhere you will remember!
I will save it as AttackHi3.anim

OK now im going to open lucinas folder and look for lucinas uptilt, once you have found it right click it and Replace and replace it with the animation you just exported, now just right click the little folder and Save Group As, save it as main.bch 

Yay you have swapped a move! Good job Here is what i made
