So, if you're wondering how these alts became to be, this is a good place to learn how to make and edit these alts.
First of all, go in the fighter folder and select a fighter's folder. Note, you have to play as that character first BEFORE you can edit their palettes, and some like DK and PIkachu don't have any at all. So choose wisely who you're gonna edit. We're gonna have Bowser as our example.
Now you should find a couple images in the folder that look like a flat line with multiple colours. Those are palettes. The filenames even say so themselves. (See Image 1)
Now let's edit them. The fighter's main textures are normally at the front. (See Image 2) All you gotta do is edit the textures to a different colour, and darken or brighten it with that same colour for that spot. (See Image 3). Here I'm using Bowser's blue alt to make it into Smash 4's blue alt.
Once you're happy with it, save it and test in-game. It should look something like Image 4. That's all you need to do, and if it sounds confusing, I'm not good on tutorials, and this is a first for me. So please understand that it's not gonna be the best ever. Thanks for reading!
Also, by images, I mean the ones that AREN'T the render.
