1. The Introduction


Wassup, dudes !

Today, you'll read a guide about weapons.
Which kind of weapons you'll ask ?

Well, in order for me to answer you, I can respond to you with two different ways !

The first way would be just to say "duh etz blockeh wepanz, gtfo n0w!1!!", but that would be rude and not really constructive at the same time, even though some people would find that... Funny ?

But, I have another way to tell you about what I'm gonna plan to talk 'bout, and for that, you just need to take a look at the next parts of my guide !

So, how about we pack up our stuff and go to the armory ?

2. The Basics


So, if you're not brain-dead person (or at least know how to play on a computer), you will already know how to use a weapon on a First Person Shooter.

But here's a lil' reminder of the weapons controls on Blockstorm :

Left Click (Mouse 1) = Primary Fire
Right Click (Mouse 2) = Aim
R = Reload

If you know how to use these keys wisely, you can be able to mess some blocky faces up, but here's the deal : If you read this guide, it's probably because you want to know more about how the available weapons work, right ?

So, about we start with the primaries ?

3. The Primaries


To start on a side note, since there isn't any specific value to mesure a player health bar other than by measuring it with percentages, I will show each damage the weapon can do with percentages.

Also, should I specify that each player have a base of 100% HP ? 


The Rifle

Weapon Type : Semi-Automatic Rifle

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 100% (Instakill)
Bodyshot : 55%
Limbshot : 35%

Clip Size :  8
Max Stock Ammo : 40
Full Ammo : 48

Weight : 5 KG (Mid-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Medium

No Scope Accuracy : Excellent
Scoped Accuracy : Perfect

No Scope Recoil : Weak
Scoped Recoil : Very Weak

Reload Time : ≈2.3 Seconds

Range Type : Mid/Long-Range

Probably the most polyvalent primary you can use in the game, the Rifle can deal huge damage at mid-range like he could do at long-range.

Recommended for the advanced players.
This weapon is the weapon of choice if you want to use a primary that is viable at all different kind of range, and in a whole lot of situations, as long as you have a good aim of course.


The AK-47

Weapon Type : Assault Rifle

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 70%
Bodyshot : 30%
Limbshot : 25%

Clip Size :  30
Max Stock Ammo : 90
Full Ammo : 120

Weight : 5.5 KG (Mid-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Quite Fast

No Scope Accuracy : Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Good

No Scope Recoil : Strong
Scoped Recoil : Medium

Reload Time : ≈2.5 Seconds

Range Type : Mid-Range

Great for fights at mid-range, the AK-47 doesn't have a great accuracy however, and you will need to pull down this weapon when you're shooting in order to upgrade your chances of winning your fights.

This assault rifle is still however a great choice for players of all kinds, no-matter how skilled they are (or not).


The MP5

Weapon Type : SMG

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 49%
Bodyshot : 25%
Limbshot : 15%

Clip Size :  30
Max Stock Ammo : 90
Full Ammo : 120

Weight : 4.5 KG (Light-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Fast

No Scope Accuracy : Bad 
Scoped Accuracy : Alright

No Scope Recoil : Strong
Scoped Recoil : Medium

Reload Time : ≈2.4 Seconds

Range Type : Close/Mid-Range

A great choice for beginners, since this weapon allow the player to have a great mobility because of its light weight and also because of his great firing rate, which allows the player to blow up some faces at closer ranged fights than the infamous AK !

Recommended for beginners.
If you have more experience however, the AK-47 will usually be a better pick since this weapon can pack more damage than this weapon.


The Sniper Rifle

Weapon Type : Bolt Action Rifle

Damage per Shot :
100% (Instakill)

Clip Size :  1
Max Stock Ammo : 9
Full Ammo : 10

Weight : 5 KG (Mid-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Very Slow

No Scope Accuracy : Very Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Perfect

No Scope Recoil : Very Weak
Scoped Recoil : Non-Existent

Reload Time : ≈2.4 Seconds

Range Type : Long/Very Long-Range

Excellent weapon for fights at very long-range, but is nearly useless at close range due to his very bad accuracy when no-scoped.

Recommended for advanced players.
In the right hands, you can do huge killstreaks with it since hitting someone with this primary will instantly kill him !


The Shotgun

Weapon Type : Pump Action Shotgun

Damage per Pellet :
Point Blank Shot : 100%
Average damage reduction per Block : 10%
Optimal Range for Instakill : 1-6 Blocks.
Maximal Range for Instakill : 7-8 Blocks.
Number of Pellets : 4

Clip Size :  4
Max Stock Ammo : 20
Full Ammo : 24

Weight : 3 KG (Light-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Slow

No Scope Accuracy : Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Mediocre

No Scope Recoil : Very Strong
Scoped Recoil : Strong

Reload Time : ≈0.65 Seconds for one shell, ≈2.1 Seconds for an entire magazine reload.

Range Type : Close-Range

For CQC (Close Quarter Combat), this is weapon is a beast. But since it is the complete opposite of the Sniper Rifle, you will need to stay close from your opponent in order to kill him !

Recommended for intermediate players since your movement will be the main factor that will decide if you survive or die.


The M240

Weapon Type : Heavy Machine Gun

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 70%
Bodyshot : 33%
Limbshot : 30%

Clip Size :  100
Max Stock Ammo : 300
Full Ammo : 400

Weight : 6.5 KG (Heavy-Weight Primary)

Firing Rate : Very Fast

No Scope Accuracy : Very Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Mediocre

No Scope Recoil : Uncontrollable 
Scoped Recoil : Very Strong

Reload Time : ≈4 Seconds

Range Type : Close/Mid-Range (But Close Combat is strongly advised) 

Probably the hardest weapon to master but also one of the most powerful in the right hands, the M240 is basically the weapon who have the greatest DPS (Damage Per Second) of all the weapons... in theory.

Since this weapon also have the strongest recoil of the game, placement is the key for you to survive, and if you're rushing at the battlefield like someone would do with a AK-47 or a MP5, you will just be mince meat.

Recommended for advanced players since the weapon can deal massive damage if you know how to compensate his biggest downside : his recoil.

4. The Secondaries


Great tools on the battlefield when used in the right hands, the secondaries can really help you out when your primary is just not enough.


The Handgun

Weapon Type : Semi-Automatic Handgun

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 90%
Bodyshot : 28%
Limbshot : 25%

Clip Size :  8
Max Stock Ammo : 40
Full Ammo : 48

Weight : 1.5 KG (Light-Weight Secondary)

Firing Rate : Medium

No Scope Accuracy : Mediocre
Scoped Accuracy : Great

No Scope Recoil : Medium
Scoped Recoil : Weak

Reload Time : ≈2.5 Seconds

Range Type : Mid-Range

Being the lightest secondary of the roster, the Handgun is the best of the secondaries you can equip if you don't want to use a secondary at all since you will be granted better mobility whatsoever !

When it comes to combat, this weapon can be pretty useful, as long as you have a good aim, and as long as your primary can't fill the pistol job, which is, of course, chasing people from longer distances, which makes this weapon great with the Shotgun or even the M240.

Great for any kind of player, this weapon will not disappoint you !


The Shorty 12G

Weapon Type : Pump-Action Double-Shot Shotgun

Damage per Pellet :
Point Blank Shot : 100%
Average damage reduction per Block : 10%
Optimal Range for Instakill : 1-3 Blocks.
Maximal Range for Instakill : 5-6 Blocks.
Number of Pellets : 3

Clip Size :  2
Max Stock Ammo : 6
Full Ammo : 8

Weight : 2 KG (Mid-Weight Secondary)

Firing Rate : Slow

No Scope Accuracy : Very Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Alright

No Scope Recoil : Very Strong
Scoped Recoil : Weak

Reload Time : ≈1 Second for one shell, ≈2.5 Seconds for an entire magazine reload.

Range Type : Close-Range

The boomstick of the secondaries, the Shorty, is a probably the hardest secondary to master, but can also be very efficient when put into the right hands.

Since you only have two shots and that the damage fall-off of this weapon is just massive, accuracy, aim and movement will be very important factors if you wanna get those cheeky kills.

Recommended for advanced players since this weapon is much more riskier to use, and require superior aim to even use it well.
Can be paired well with the MP5 and the AK-47.


The Uzi

Weapon Type : SMG

Damage per Shot :
Headshot : 40%
Bodyshot : 25%
Limbshot : 20%

Clip Size :  30
Max Stock Ammo : 90
Full Ammo : 120

Weight : 3 KG (Heavy-Weight Secondary)

Firing Rate : Very Fast

No Scope Accuracy : Very Bad
Scoped Accuracy : Mediocre

No Scope Recoil : Very Strong
Scoped Recoil : Medium

Reload Time : ≈2.5 Seconds

Range Type : Close/Mid-Range (Close Combat is advised)

Usually the most viable secondary when paired with a long-range weapon like the Rifle or the Sniper, the Uzi can pack really good damage at close range as long as you're not using it while not aiming at all.

But with good damage comes some downsides, like the huge recoil that this weapon have when you're not aiming, forcing you to have a very low mobility while using it. And also, for mid-range fights, this weapon is actually worse than the Handgun since the accuracy of this weapon starts to be pretty bad at mid-ranged fights.

Still very good for players of all kinds when used well, but the Shorty is better for players that are using mid-range primaries, and the Handgun is better-paired with close-range weapons.

5. The Explosives


Used to harass other players, or to defend specific corridors, or even as last resort answer, the explosives can be sometimes just what it needs to take someone down.


The Grenade

Weapon Type : Fragmentation Grenade

Damage per Grenade :
1-6 Blocks away from target : 100%
12+ Blocks away from target : 0%

Amount of Grenades :  2

Weight : 1 KG (Light-Weight Explosive)

Throw Rate : Slow

Special Commands :
G : Grenade Throw (You can throw a grenade, no matter of which weapon you deployed right now)

Range Type : Close/Mid-Range

Great tool to harass a player that is well-hidden in his comfy bunker, the Grenade can be also used to get kills in a desperate situation or even after you died !

Very useful for the more aggresive players out there !


The C4

Weapon Type : High-Yield Chemical Explosive

Damage per Explosive :
1-6 Blocks away from target : 100%
12+ Blocks away from target : 0%

Amount of C4's :  2

Weight : 2 KG (Mid-Weight Explosive)

Special Commands :
Left-Click (When deployed) : Place the C4
Right-Click (When deployed) : Fuse the C4

Great when it comes to protect specific spots on the map, the C4 is basically the explosive of choice if you want to adopt a more defensive playstyle, while having more interaction with your explosives !


The Claymore

Weapon Type : Directional Fragmentation Anti-Personnel Mine

Damage per Explosive :
1-6 Blocks away from target : 100%
12+ Blocks away from target : 0%

Amount of C4's :  2

Weight : 1.2 KG (Light-Weight Explosive)

Special Commands :
Left-Click (When deployed) : Place the Claymore
Right-Click (When deployed) : Rotate the Claymore

This weapon is used for purpose very similar to the C4, but with a few tweaks, since instead of getting fused manually like the C4, it will actually automatically fuse when an opponent touch the laser that comes out of the Claymore.

If the Claymore is worse than the C4 in more open spaces, it can also be very efficient in tiny corridors, as long as you place it well.


The RPG

Weapon Type : Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher

Damage per Rocket :
1-6 Blocks away from target : 100%
12+ Blocks away from target : 0%

Clip Size :  1
Max Stock Ammo : 0
Full Ammo : 1

Weight : 4 KG (Heavy-Weight Explosive)

Firing Rate : Very Slow (1.5 Second Per Rockets before it gets shot)

No Scope Accuracy : Perfect
Scoped Accuracy : Perfect

No Scope Recoil : Non-Existent
Scoped Recoil : Non-Existent

Reload Time : ≈2.3 Seconds

Range Type : Viable at all kind of distances, as long as your opponent doesn't try to dodge it. But the optimal range for this weapon would be probably Mid/Long-Range.

Excellent backup plan when you can't get someone that is hiding in a spot of the map that is normally too risky for you to reach, the RPG can let you get some nice kills when used well.

But the main downside is that your movement speed will be much more slower than with any other explosive which also makes it risky to use on the battlefield when used out of his optimal range.

6. Conclusion


As a final conclusion, I will just recommend you to try out every weapon that this game offers, while using all different kinds of combos that would probably appeal you !
