Compiling of map to bsp format is a main problem for beginner mappers
So I gonna to teach you how to compile maps using valve hammer tool.
Valve hammer tool.
1-Ready your map for compilation.
2-Open option dialog box from tool menu and click 'build programs' tab
3-Now you can see many boxes now you have to fill these boxes in first box fill game's name like 'Counter Strike'.
4-In next four boxes you have to fill zhlt compilers applications (it is asking for CSG executable in one of them so you to fill it with 'hlcsg. exe' of your zhlt compilers). In next boxes it will ask for BSP, RAD and VIS executable . so fill them with "hlbsp. exe, hlrad. exe and hlvis. exe" respectively of your zhlt compilers. finally in last box you have to choose the location on your hard drive where you want to save compiled map or '.bsp'. then click OK.
5-Press F9 key or click RUN option from file menu of valve hammer tool. then a dialog box will appear then select 'normal' option in all category then add additional parameters if you want you can also choose the option 'Don't run the game, then click RUN
6-Your map is compiled after some moments after process stops check your map save location 'yourmap. bsp' will be there if not means you do some mistakes .check err log and try to fix .
Hope you helped
