[VHE] Making an oldskool de_aztec bridge - A Tutorial for Counter-Strike 1.6

Just redistributing an old tutorial

This tutorial will teach you how to make an old-school de_aztec bridge. (shoot through, but walk-over) ====================================================================================================== Firstly, make your area where the bridge will be. Then, create a ramp that goes about a third of the way along. Now align it downwards. Copy this and turn it around. Put it symmetrically at the other side. Now just match them up with a cuboid brush. Now, apply a suitable semi-transparent texture [{] to all three brushes. It should look like this: ![](http://wayback.archive.org/web/20081020000149im_/http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/7406/12tm1.jpg "") **IMPORTANT:** Now, select all three brushes, and copy (CTRL + C) and paste them somewhere outside the visible map. Now, select all three brushes of the bridge you were working on before, and press CTRL + T on your keyboard. In the entity class box, type func_illusionary. Give it FX Mode "Solid" with FX Amount "255": ![](http://wayback.archive.org/web/20081020000149im_/http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1998/21zy.jpg "") Now, go back to the second bridge you put outside the map. Select all three and go to the texture application tool. Type in "clip" and select the clip tool texture: ![](http://wayback.archive.org/web/20081020000149im_/http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/3559/31xi.jpg "") Now, place the second bridge exactly on top of the first bridge, like so: ![](http://wayback.archive.org/web/20081020000149im_/http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6213/46cu.jpg "") Now, finalise your other map touches and compile. My finished test map: ![](http://wayback.archive.org/web/20081020000149im_/http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/9999/aztecbridge00008ax.jpg "") Thank you and good luck! Eraser - [email protected]
