This GUI tool configures player models for CSGO with a couple of mouse clicks and relevant map information.
The answer to _"How do I make a kv file?"_ or, _"How do I write a kv file?"_ or, _"How do get different teams in my CSGO map?"_
Here's the information you need to use the program:
Fill in the map name, the same as your bsp and nav name. You don't need the file extension. This tool will add it when saving.
Fill in your Name! That will be commented into the .kv file.
Select a CT team, and a T team with your mouse.
Then, click save! A save dialog box will open, and you'll want to save it to your csgo/maps/ which should have your .bsp and .nav in there already.
Then, you can run your map, and your new T & CT teams should be there.
Steam Workshop should upload the .kv with your bsp automatically.
If sharing here, you can pack it into the .bsp or keep it external, like you might with the .nav, your results may vary with packing it into the .bsp.
Notes: This tool will throw errors into the console on the left, this is to ensure you're saving a working .kv file. However, if you manage to break it, do let me know.
How was it? What'd you use it on? Let me know :)
Pretty cool. Works well and it's straight to the point. However, if you pick IDF as a model for CT's you will have to replace "ctm_idf_variantA" with "ctm_idf_variantE" inside the .kv file. Otherwise you'll pop a missing model and crash clients. Not sure if this applies to any other models.
A bit major... Not sure if you will update but posting it up anyway ahead of time.
