It has to be possible, but how to do it?

I wondered how to change the playermodelview FOV in CSS. I don't mean the whole FOV, just the FOV that is used to display the first-person models such as weapons..well only the weapons. It has to be somehow possible as for example DoD:S is also using a different, smaller FOV for the weaponmodels. -While CSS uses about 85 to 90 for them, DoD:S has about 60 to 70 which I personally prefer. As I just looked at a CSS replacement in Half-Life Model viewer and accidently switched the FOV to 60 instead of 90, I couldn't get rid of this idea - it simply looks so much better: The weapon looks closer, it looks like the player is actually trying to aim with it without the weapon taking 90% of the screen. I made a compare render so you guys could see what pure awesomness looks like: Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us So, basically it has to be possible because DoD:S has it. Any ideas? Coders? Scripters?

I think that you choose the FOV when you animate.

    In the camera settings.

So i don't think it's 100% possible to "add on"

The CSS FOV is much better in my opinion... the DODs one makes the gun look short and stubby.

Yeah, but through making it shorter it looks more like you are actually trying to aim with it.

@Sarqune: So, the FOV is chosen when doing the animations? If so, this means that every animation has to be redone, wouldn't it? Or could any animations simply be opened and moved or something like this?
