Create own textures

How do you create your wad file of your textures? i need to make some for cz/1.6

    It's the same as 1.6. Use Wally (Google it, the official page's dead, but I think many other sites should be hosting the installation file). Get a picture you want to turn into a texture, make its dimensions factors of 16 (like 32, 64, 128, 256x256 etc) and try to keep it smaller than or equal to 512 each side to prevent performance issues. Create a new .WAD in Wally, open the picture file in Wally, copy the contents of the picture into a blank slot in the .WAD as new texture and name the new texture. You might be familiar with the texture naming - there are some flags, like { being that the 255-blue coloured parts of the texture will be transparent/masked if the render mode is texture or solid, and + causes the texture to emit light according to the specifications in the lights.rad file in your compiler and so on. I think Wally has a short description of the texture flags in the dialog box when you create a new texture.
