Hey, I was wondering if anyone has, can make or know of a program where you can press a key and it closes the selected program instantly (kinda like ctrl+alt+del - processes). I am so sick of cs:s or gmod freezing and I'm not able to close or even minimize it, so then i have to press the restart button.

Alt-tabbing always works for me o.o even if the game completely freezes!
Or just press ctrl+alt+del, and then press delete again. Should work.

Just think like you cant minimize or f10 or alt tab it or get to anything -->ESPECIALLY windows task manager<--!
If i have music going in the background it keeps playing. So therefore only the game is frozen, not windows. So the only way i can get out is by using a separate program to close it or the big red power button (which is actually silver). And I'm getting tired of restarting because it uses up way too much time and ill most likely fry something like i have done before. As well, F10 closes CS:S because it is binded to quit automatically. I unbinded mine a long time ago...

If it freezes sometimes you cant end task so you need to go to the processes tab and end the hl2.exe process. but otherwise just use f10 to quit that works fine

Most of the time when my Source engine games freeze without an error message they manage to lock the entire rest of the operating system. I know that isn't supposed to be possible in NT based systems but DirectX makes it possible. Anyway if your entire system is locked no program like this would be of any use to you if ALT-F4 or CTRL-ALT-DEL weren't responding either.

Its weird, ctrl alt del kinda work but i cant see them. My mouse is invisible until i roll over them. Even if i click or anything i cant see it and i don't wanna guess where everything is. So I know the entire operating system isn't frozen. Anyways, Mr Bean the movie is on so I'm gonna go watch it :D

ALT + F4 works fine for me. :)

If a program is frozen, there is really no possible way to close it. It takes CPU power to close a program, and when your CPU is locked up, closing the program will take a little while.

You just have to wait. I sometimes get this too, but I don't have the patience and I just push the power button.
