I'm one of those guys who has to change my settings almost every map because of the FPS I get. I mean I don't get bad FPS. My CS:S runs better with higher graphics then lower graphics. But I also want to know the highest FPS I can get. So why can't someone make a program that is a CS:S Tool. You run it. Then open CS:S up and it takes about 10minutes to go through your settings. The tool is like a scanner sord of. It scans through for 10min abouts and picks out the settings that are the best for you and get you the most FPS/Performance. Then you close CS:S. Close the tool. Then open CS:S and those settings are set for the most fps you can get out of your system. Then if you want to change a few things even though it will lower the FPS or something just change it through your settings. Only run the tool once and if you change some settings and want the good one back. Open tool, open CS:S and it already had saved the best settings in the tool. So it takes about a minute only. Then close the tool. This would probably take a lot of time to make but I want it so bad. If anyone knows a guide for certain video cards with CS:S or a tool like this please link it here. Thank you.
I had Gainward FX5700 ultra GS which was quite good, it had GDDR3 running at 1000MHZ by default and with good air cooling of Zalman, clocked at 1100MHz at all times. With that I had Celeron 2GHz@3Ghz. Well it runned CSS pretty good. But for sure some program what searchs for the best configs possibly would be time/life saver!
