I just bought the game F.E.A.R. a few days ago and I am hooked. The single player mode scares the crap outta me, but I can't put the game down. I think it is one of the best, and scariest games out there, the enviroment of the game just freaks the crap out of me. It doesn't help that they have Alma in there, makes not want to have children. Well what do you guys think?
This video is the Xbox 360 version, but it's mostly the same.
This is one on the computer. It shows all the cool stuff you can do to the enemies with you weaponry. WARNING: Simulated Gore!
When I played fear i nearly shit my pants when i played it!
But i thought doom 3 was scarier!
Eh, too repetitive for me, open door;dark room, pull out flashlight, monster comes, back track towards door;lighter, pull out shotgun, shoot imp, turn around, shoot zombie, bleh your dead because a pinky wanted to eat yo face.
Same for me, Doom 3 got very repetative. Plus it was more of a run and gun game for me. If you try that in F.E.A.R. you'll die pretty quickly, well if you aren't playing it on easy that is. I do think F.E.A.R. is very suspenseful and really keeps you on the edge of your seat, I will find some videos and put them up here.
Fear was great an all but ehh.. The graphics weren't as good as source and the physics were kinda glitchy. But the gunfights were like nothing i've ever seen, the effects from grenades bending light, clouds of dust filling the room from missed shots hitting the walls, muzzle flahses illuminating them from time to time. IT gets hectic and insanely disorienting very quickly and you usually last seconds on multiplayer before you take a few hundred rounds to the face.
The Singplayer got repetitive. Walking down a hallway and BOOM! a Ventilation fan turns on for no reason... Walk into a room and BOOM! The lights flicker for a bit and Ulma giggles.
It's probably the scariest game i have tried.
I have played most of it about two times, and i have bought Extraction Point. I haven't got to try it though.
F.E.A.R. is indeed quite awesome (and it's just BETTER with my new computer...)
