Hello everyone, I recently started playing css instead of cs1.6, and I have one question. When I change my walking direction, it doesn't change right away - do I have a problem with my css, or is it just the way css is? [Sorry for bad english, Lithuania here :) ]

It's most probably your system not being able to cope.

Yes, record it happening and we'll tell you what the problem is, however please put these 2 cvars' in the console:

    cl_showfps 2

    net_graph 3

So we can see the frames per second your system runs, and the ping you get on the servers.

Also please give us a list of your system specs, and the detail levels you run css at, compared to what you run 1.6 at.

    No, sry, no video.

By the way - when i'm saying changing directions i mean that changing not with my mouse (turning left, right), but using a & d buttons (it is called strafe i think)

    -----

FPS - 20 to 30. I got css only this night and played only in my local server with bots.

Specs - Amd athlon xp 2500+; 384Mb ram, GF 5200 (Yes, I know, this is not very good pc ;])

I run css at 800*640; all details on medium/low (lowered a bit than css pre-configured for me).

CS1.6... 40-75 (~) fps, becouse it was "modded" a lot (models, textures etc) and becouse I am now playing on WinVista [and currently there are no good video drivers fom nvidia]. On xp it was always ~75fps.

Anyhow, it's not about fps, it's about time of responding, and everything is just fine except changing directions with a/w/s/d

For me it's the other way around, i hate the movement in the older versions.

That and the computer i play CZ on sometimes is really screwy.
