ARCropolis now supports all file types!!!

A Forum Thread for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Effects type files (.eff) now work with ARCropolis. You will no longer need Ultimate Mod Manager or a game dump if you wish to no longer use them, as it also released the .nutexb update earlier. 

The only drawback you may have is that it's newer and may have some untested bugs in comparison, and at least one type of file is causing issues on certain mods (Numshexb files larger than the original currently cause a crash. Waluigi & DSX8 mods use this file type.) and I would remove files of this type temporarily as they are not too important and are used from some minor shading data.

TL;DR: It now supports every file format and can be used for modding in a way similar to other switch games without having a game dump on your microSD card. 

This plugin also makes it so there is no file size limit for .eff type files as well as all the other file types it supports.

If you have any problems with the newer releases, contact the Smash Ultimate Modding Hub and hopefully your issue can be debugged. If you wish to not join or wait out this release for it to gain more stability I'll be making newer threads for common fixes on any issues that people find.

    Will you let everyone know when moveset edit mods have become fully stable to use? At this point in time, a mandatory plugin (libnro_hook.nro) for such mods has been known to cause random game crashes.

  • So if I'm gathering this correctly, you can now just put your UMM folder into ARCropolis and bada bing bada boom? Don't need a dump anymore? Or is it more complicated than that? Is there a tutorial anywhere if it is?
