Hello fellow modders!

Very recently, as of posting this thread, CS:GO released their latest update:


Operation Shattered Web

And with this release came SO many new skins and a couple new knives, as well as the daringly new weapon finish option (not it's own weapon finish), 'pearlescent' as shown in this video I've made.



Now, in CS:S, this might not be possible to replicate with CS:GO's newest finish. The only hint I've gotten was through HLMV's Material tab when selecting the weapon model.


But in CS:S, there's no possible way to replicate this effect using that .vmt entry.
Here's what I get using "$pearlescent" "1" in the .vmt for the AUG skin in CS:S in which I had ported.



No pearlescent effect at ALL using that line of code.

    You can combine two textures that, when inspecting the weapon, reflect the other with pearls of another color, that is, duplicate the textures and paint them differently and place them as in the chrome effect?

También hago algo similar a ti para Counter Strike 1.6 pero más simple, pero siempre tengo problemas con las máscaras, como este "Aug" ya que las texturas son diferentes y busqué en línea y no sé si puedo pintarlo con los colores que son o para permanecer igual, para saber si me harías el favor de decir cómo obtienes el patrón exacto de esas pieles. ese es el color

    Pretty sure you can get a decently passable replication of the effect just using a defined cubemap but ok
