Problem with flipped scope lens's reflection

How to fix this?

Ok so I modded all my weps with a scope on them to reflect the environment of the map using $envmap in the vmt file. All of them work except for the 4.2 sniper rifle (4.3 if you're nasty). As you can see from the pics - it's flipped upside down! the sky is on the ground and vice versa.



I think I've tried everything: flipped the vtf texture 180 degrees, used a different texture altogether, decompiled the model and rotated the uv mesh 180 degrees. Nothing works! It's always the same when I get back in the game :(
Anyone got any ideas?
