Dimension scaling for 1.6 -> CS:S porting

A Forum Thread for Counter-Strike: Source

Hello, I've given this guide a thorough reading, and learned some interesting things:
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Dimensions

but also a disturbing lack of documentation for goldsrc. I learned that playermodels in hl1 are 64 units tall while hl2 is 72 units, but I also wonder if the architecture scale is different as the horizontal eye level in both hl1 and hl2 are 64.

If anyone has proficiency in working with goldsrc/source hammer could  you please explain to me how I properly upscale the map so it doesn't feel like it got hit with a shrink ray when I'm playing it in CS:S?

    Press Control+M, select scale and put xyz to 1,125. Not the best method, some things like texture alignment will be broken.
