The main problem I run into whilst making skin imports into smash is that the rigging is never completely successful. Is there an easy way to figure out what part of the model hasn't been rigged well? It's a bit tiresome it get the model into smash first every time.
Assuming you use Smash Forge (as everyone should), just export the main.pac from the character/motion/body folder in Sm4shExplorer then open it along with the model and play a few of the animations. Although it won't help with hand rigging as they are animated separately.
