Making Custom Stage Logo (stagel_10) Textures?

A Forum Thread for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

I'm trying to figure out how to make stage logos for the stage select screen. I want to make one for Kirby's Adventure so I can use it on the Fountain of Dreams stage mod, but I can't figure out how to change the logo to the pink color palette that the stage logos use. (See the attached image.) I use GIMP 2.8 with the DDS plugin. Any tips on how to make a stage logo would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

From my experience, you don’t have to change it to that color. You simply have to make the icon, then save it as a BC5 / ATI2 DDS file in GIMP. The compression handles everything.
    It's supposed to be ironic.

Here's what I do. I make the 256x128 canvas with the image I want as greyscale. I then save as DDS with the format/compression of DXT5 and no mipmaps. I make a new NUT in forge, import the dds, give it a proper TexID, and save the NUT.
