Hello there! I am planning to try to create a scout voice line pack for myself that changes the scouts voice with my own, much like the Jerma sound pack or the RT game soundpack. I have a microphone that is decent enough that I can be understood. I sadly do not know how to mod the voices or well anything in general. If you know anything please send help my way! Thank you and have a good day.

    Finding the Sounds

    1) Download GCFScape.

    2) Go to this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf

    3) Open tf2_sound_vo_english_dir.vpk with GCFScape.

    4) You should find the Scout's voice files in the vo folder.

    Making the mod

    1) Make a folder called "custom" in the directory above.

    2) Grab whatever sound you want to use. (Make sure the file is Mono and in .mp3 format for the voices. Audacity could help with this.

    3) Create a folder in the Desktop.

    4) Follow the directory where the voices are located. Since you are replacing the Scout's voice files, create folders named "sound" and "vo".

    5) Put the "sound" file in the folder that you created and "vo" in the "sound" folder.

    6) Place the sound file in the "vo" folder.

    7) Make sure that the file you're replacing has the name of the original file. (E.X. Wilhelm Scream.mp3 -> scout_paincrticialdeath01.mp3)

    8) Place your sound mod in the "custom" folder of directory.

    9) See if you're satisfied with your mod.

If there's any confusion, let me know.
