How to extract .BSA files from Skyrim?
- A Forum Thread for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Uhh let me see, I found a good one that works with most Bethesda files, Skyrim, Fallout 3, and New Vegas... lemme see...
Ah, its not sugar coated, but it is straightforward and coded in java. It has a manual file browser so you don't have to worry about not having steam versions or whatever. Just find the .bsa files and it will open them, right click and extract to a designated folder. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/34/? (Hit download manual to get it, its clean) I used ti to port a Backpack mod to Source engine once, usually use it to get textures too. The hardest part is probably getting the models out of .NIF format. Textures are in .dds and easily openable with the right image editing software.
FO3 Archive Utility, while made for FO3, it can work with Skyrim I believe, according to reviews. I know it works swimmingly for FO3, and seeing they use the same engine it should work both ways.
