Hello.

I started working props with propper in hammer and I'm making model with 2 different surface properties. (wood and metal)

How to merge 2 propper_model entitys to one? I tried to compile 2 parts of model but it only compiles one.

Any help?

    Hey Domi :)

merging 2 models into one has nothing to do with propper.
Source uses a model system where a model can only have one surfaceprop, same for materials.
The surfaceprop for a model is defined in the model.qc file, while one qc is for one model.
I had some similar problems but I just made two models with different sufaceprops. This works good for static props but if you want to have it on dynamic props, you will have to parent those other models to a main one. Unfortunately, this may cost server load and causes collision errors.
An other solution would be just make those 2 props into one where they have the same surfaceprop. This may look wrong then, but if the parts with the wrong sufaceprop are not that big, no one will notice.

I hope I could explain the problem a little bit.
