I am making a map, but the lights are becoming weird

> Hi, it seems to me that the lighting in the Source engine is a bit weird. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have this problem where I get shadows as chess-patterns, but noclip'ing a bit away causes it to fade out to become normal shadows. I included a picture link to the three cases; - 1: Normal lighting (by **light_environment** entity)![1](http://1drv.ms/1JHnIWL "1:") [1-Direct link](http://1drv.ms/1JHnIWL "1-Direct link") - 2 and 3: checker-patterned shadows.(just **light** entity) ![2&3](http://1drv.ms/1Kk8pUV "2&3:") [2&3 -Direct link](http://1drv.ms/1Kk8pUV "2&3 -Direct link") Please help! I have tried almost everything and I'm getting desperate.

Have you checked to see if the light is inside the prop? Or you could try and disable the props shadows in the settings.

This happens in CSGO HDR lighting when:

1- you have a named light entity

2- you enabled a special effect in one of your lights (strobe, flicker,...)

Make sure none of your lights is named and that none has special effects and you should be fine.
