Add weapon props with skins into map? - A Forum Thread for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Other than decompiling/ripping the textures and model, then recompiling into a new custom prop, I was wondering if there was some way to get weapon skin textures applied to the gun models more easily (i.e. have a collection of various awp skins as props inside of my map)

    Depends, are they actual props? If so, then you need to decompile them. It's not as hard as it sounds though, just change the `$cdmaterials` line.

Yeah, independent props (though I'm looking for a way to toggle various texture maps on for one prop which would make things a bit easier). I'm reading through all this QC commands (I usually just let WallWorm do all the dirty work). I'll post results once i can get a successful compile through! :D
