mapping amateur - A Forum Thread for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Hey. I would like to learn how to make maps for cs:go, could someone post some best tutorials I could learn from them ? I want to make map that I'm awaiting for ages... Thanks :)

    I don't know your skill in Hammer, but you can check out some of 3kliksphilips tutorials on YouTube. Linky I don't know any other tutorials than that for CS:GO

    As stated before 3kliksphilip's tutorials are among the best for basic CS:GO mapping -> LINK Have you mapped for any other games before? It's worth noting that a lot of the general theories of mapping are the same, and a good thing to learn. Also (other than a few game specific entities) a lot of the basic principles of mapping in hammer are the same regardless of what game you're mapping for, We've got LOADS of tutorials on mapping in other sections have a look -> LINK

    I don't have any experience in mapping and hammer... But I learn very fast, I just need to know how things work and how to use programs. As I learned myself how to animate and model but I needed to know how tools work first :)
