Hello to all. This is my first post anywhere here at FPS Banana. And I'm putting in a request.
Well, when I was playing around on G-Mod, I got into a conversation with someone who noted the large amounts of G-Mod materials based on "Stargate" and a small amount of stuff based on "Star Trek." I mentioned the fact that there aren't a whole lot of "Battlestar Galactica" related materials, especially for the reimagined series. I pointed out that over at garrysmod.org, they had a BSG Shuttle and Viper Mark II available for Garry's Mod, but in comparison to the stuff made for "Stargate," it's like a couple of drops of water in comparison to a glass of water. Another user, who was hearing our conversation came up and over voice chat said, "Why don't you try over at FPSBanana? There's always someone looking for a challenge to make stuff."
So, I'm here placing a request for a lot of BSG related stuff for G-Mod. That includes any NPCs/Ragdolls/Player Models based on the characters both Human and Cylon (both human variety and metal variety), any space craft (other than the Mark II Viper and Shuttle), any maps (including the Battlestar Galactica and the Battlestar Pegasus, the Cylon Basestar or any variations of) and any weapons or items (trust me, there's a lot of real-world items that show up in the show. The Season 2 Colonial sidearm was a FN-57 with a grenade launcher attached).
I'm hoping for stuff for the re-imagined series, but any original series items are welcomed, too. Below are some links to various different resources for anything Battlestar Galactica related.

I hope that these are helpful and there are people who are interested in the show (or both shows) to do it. Thank you for your time. :D
Main reason for the Stargate stuff is that there was a need to get around gm maps quickly and the stargates fitted the role, people then added content around it
It seems like a good idea and you made a good post so good luck finding a modeller :)
Other reasons: there are Stargate/Starwars/StarTrek Mods/Retail games released in which the content was originally ripped from and MAYBE someone put a few little decals/touchups here and there and released it on Garry's mod as their own.
Given there really are no Battlestar Galactica games available atm aside from an old flightsim it's really not that surprising to see no content for Garry's mod. Once the BSG mod is released - looking good so far - I'm sure their stuff will be "appropriated" and you'll find many new artists releasing "their" work for Garry's mod.
True, but I'm sure that the Stargates were made for Garry's Mod, as there is no Stargate game that they could have been imported in from (that I've heard about).
But, I do have hope on anything BSG related.
