Consistency Error with player model! - A Forum Thread for Counter-Strike: Source.

I always get that damn error! >:(

I want to compile a player model, but I'm always getting the same error: Model models/player/ct_gign.mdl exceeds mins (-12.4 -29.3 -6.4 vs. -13.0 -13.0 -10.0) Model models/player/ct_gign.mdl exceeds maxs (11.4 29.3 80.5 vs. 13.0 13.0 75.0) Server is enforcing consistency for this file: models/player/ct_gign.mdl Host_Error: Server is enforcing file consistency for models/player/ct_gign.mdl This also happens when I just try to decompile and then compile the model. I'm sure that's my stupid MDLDecompiler which already fucks up half of the animations on all the models, but I can't figure out how to fix this. Also I'm having a similar problem with compiling w_models. Any help? AND DON'T SAY IT'S BECAUSE OF SV_CONSISTENCY 1!

    Its mostly because he could make the head extra large and have it work on any server.

    Because if the way to pass consistenty came publicly known valve would most probably update css and make the consistency check more strict and that would just suck. So its better that the few who know it keep it to themselves and only pass it to a few people.

    Yea but I was thinking custom player models can be only optical replacements. Shouldn't it be possible to leave all the hitboxes the same, while the model itself is bigger (or smaller)?
