hey guys do u know any user-friendly kind of map-editor program?because hammer is too complicated

    Hammer is the only one, and it is not complicated. It is actually one of the easiest editors out there.

    Hammer is easy, just very tedious and boring to use.

    But if you are looking to try a different map editor, try the "C4 Engine" editor.

    You can see lighting and brush effects as you are editing just like you would see ingame, there is also a freeform tool that you can build natural looking rock formations beautifully.

    You could try Microbrush 2.
    I haven't tried it myself but it apparently works with Source.

    I believe it only makes maps for their engine unfortunately. But I was suggesting a different map editor just if you wanted to try one.

    I think he meant for him to use another engine instead of source.
