When exporting the reference (in this case the M4med) the model doesn't export with it. I make sure that I have Reference ticked in the exporting options and it still doesn't work. So of course the model doesn't work in game. I'm pretty sure I've linked everything correctly. The animations show up fine ingame but just not the model. Please anyone help.

Is the m4 invisible? Double check in model viewer or reexport your reference and see if maybe it got rotated.

Double check the names of your attachments too.. I had a similar problem with one of my compiles, and I had my attachments (magazine, ect) named differently in my ref file so they showed up invisible ingame.

Not sure what else, good luck

Make sure you select the weapon mesh and all bones, then choose "Export Selected." It usually works better than the plain old "Export" option.

I don't know how to open INS models, and could you please elaborate on the "attachment" that could be it.

So anyway, I export the file, as a reference. And then after, I check to see if the model is there by importing the smd that I just exported.

I'll use mine as an example.

When i compiled my fiveseven i named the slide "slide" in the ref, but somehow in the other sequences it got named differently, so it didn't show up ingame.

I was just saying to reimport the smd just to see if maybe the model got rotated somehow.

btw, did you make custom animations for INS? or are you trying to compile a model on INS anims?

    INS animations.
So are you saying I should name all the model parts the names of the bones they are linked to?

    Nah , lol.

I was just saying, check the names of the parts you detached. See what the names are and make sure the match what the ref file is using.

What do you mean, "what the ref file is using."

    Like, for example.

Go to your ref file and click your magazine, and see what it's named. Do the same to the other sequences. Click on the magazine and see if the names are the same.

Do that for all the parts that you detached or moved, ect cause if one of them is named differently than what is in the ref, then it will be invisible.

I don't know if this is even your problem, but it has happened to me before.

    Named differently where?
I looked in the ref again and the model made its own bone (instead of keeping the model) and that bone is placed where the original ins bone is.
