Pakratting and custom textures

A Forum Thread for Counter-Strike: Source

I have my map in cstrike/maps I have customtex1.tga, customtex1.vmt and customtex1.vtf in cstrike/materials/textures It all shows right in hammer and in-game (to myself). Have I done everything right this far? Do I then just pakrat the .tga, .vmt and .vtf into my bsp map?
