I do alot of recording using the InSource/Ingame Recorder but how do i convert the file i have from .dem files to .avi files? i want to convert them so i can have some fun with Sony Vegas and make a pwnage video :P

    You can't. The best way is to use WeGame, Fraps or even Source Recorder while watching the demo.

    Judo Technical Expert
    This tutorial is similar to the one AxelBaxel linked to, but I find it more useful since the produced video is lossless (no quality loss).

    Although, if you're going to follow that tutorial, you'll need to make sure to enable RGBA. Vegas doesn't read any other colorspace from what I remember.
