In a nutshell I've had this server for 2 months now, and if I bug everyone I know maybe i'll get lucky enough to get 15 people on the server at once, which just stinks. I really don't want to shut the server down for good, I'd much rather find help from anyone out there who is willing. I will give out free admin slots to anyone willing to help bring people to the server and fill it up. (188.8.131.52:27015)
So to my main question was, I know that steam stopped allowing users to add fake bot scripts, so the slots would appear to have a server with people playing on it. But if I goto this server for instance:
you'll notice it says it's got 31 people, yet nobodies on there?????? How do they do this? I don't want to abuse it like that, but if there's 15 ppl on m server, I'd like for it to say that there's 20-30, that way more ppl would join.

Also having a 24/7 dust 2 server isn't going to help you getting more people to join.
No one likes that overplayed map.
You'd actually be surprised. When the Battle Farm takes its random turn at maps like Dust2 or Office, that's when it gets the most non-FPSB people playing in it. I'd think it's safe to say that there's tons of people who find enjoyment on that map.
I'm not trying to trick pick ppl when it's empty.. when there are actually people there, say like 10 people, if it says 20, i know more ppl will join just cause of that. Majority of people don't like playing on servers with not alot of people on them. Lovely how everyone is quick to judge and be an ass. If the servers empty, then yeah it should display 0. But if there's 10-15 people there making it say 20-25 people, shouldn't make a different other than helping the server to get a boost in users.
Can anyone help me with this? Or if not would anyone be interested in actually helping me get people to the server? I will give out free admin slots, we have 2 separate servers.
