Few SDK Compiling Questions

A Forum Thread for Half-Life

I need help setting up my compiler to work with the SDK...

I want to compile my sdk under linux; I already have the patched SDK and gcc 4.3.1. However, I've made some changes to the Makefile(changing -m486 to -mtune=x86-64) but when I compile it spits out errors like: aflock.cpp:321: error: cast from 'const char*' to 'int' loses precision most of them have to do with casting problems. How do I tell the compiler to ignore them? I have a x86-64 AMD prossesor. My distribution is openSUSE.
