"I don't play the game I skin for"
Same... I compile weapons for RE4 and I hate it already and don't play anymore.
On topic: well, I don't play CSS because something is wrong with my new comp and it can't run Source games properly, I have lags and freezes.
I play it all the time, i have never played a game as long as i have played Css, been playing it for like 1-2 years. But i usually don't play like it's supposed to be played, i mean... I don't go and play De_dust2 where you shot and kill n stuff, i usually go to bhop, Deathrun, Xc, Zm and other fun maps.(the only shot n kill maps i play is aim_ag maps) I'm tiered of the old shot, kill earn money... So i go to fun maps, theres always some thing new! ^^,
But when this new achievements shit comes out, ill probly stop playing it.
Hmm, usually I do more mapping than actually playing CS:S.. Like ExtraOrdinary said, more often when friends come. We play the maps I've created :D
I like playing it, but it's much more fun with friends, even online, in my opinion. It's more fun to me than playing with people I don't know, but still.
I can only play against bots on a listen server but even then I get lag due to high latency. If I try to play on a server on the net my Internet connection crashes or I give everyone major lag. So I try to play it from time to time but the same shit always happens. D:
I usually just surf on CSS. I used to be in a pretty good CAL team that my friend and I created, but I ended up quitting, and my friend got kicked out(because the person who I passed my position onto kicked him out).. too much drama for me.
Though I wouldn't mind playing CAL again, I'd have to get back into that mentality, which I don't really care for too much so I just surf.
So the answer to your question is yes, I do play CSS.

I barely play it, but when I do, I play against bots since I don't wanna deal with a voice-spamming 10-year old.
The game is getting old and boring... I think TF2 will be its new replacement probably.
I bought TF2 in november and im still very happy with it i think it was the best 50 bucks i spent for a game (I bought the orange box when it came out)
It's quite a long time since I've played it. My mates use my computer for playing it if they crash here, though.
It's not that the experience has changed for me, I'm just so busy, and when I do get to waste some time I'm usually high, drunk, or hanging out with friends, (although a lot of the time it's a combination).
I'm mostly at FPSB at night, as I only sleep about 3 hours, and I don't have much else to do at 4 o'clock in the morning.
I haven't played it in ages, TF2 and DOD:S are so much better, they actually have depth, whereas css is basically a game which is stereotypical of an fps, all you do is shoot people, get bitched at, then rejoin a different server and start again, its boring, whereas tf2, there is variability in the classes, likewise with dod:s, each member of the team has a role to play. so teamwork is essential, and basically forced upon you. in css, all the 5 year olds are like 'i dunt nid a teym faggut!' and fuck the game up, i honestly think vavle should introduce an age checking system. so people who aren't old enough to play cant, without their parents first approving.
basically css is full of lone wolf cunts, so its shit unless im at LAN with the clan (bust-a-rhyme biatch! :P)
and dod:s and tf2 are fun because you all work as a team , well at least more so than css, and tf2 is just fun in general =]
I love the hell out of CS:S since I got it years ago. I used to be in pubbing, then scrimming, and now I'm settling in on a Community Clan server where we can all play together in Vent. :3 It's more fun when you're playing with a lot of friends.
I don't like CS:S at all.
I perfer CS:CZ. Either way, the only reason CS:S is even installed is so I can compile/skin/map, etc.
Customizing any source game is one of the easiest dev skills you can gain.
Other wise, the only time I ever even go into the game is just to check how skins and maps look in-game.
